actually not update just browsing through some of our club pic and video and i had start to think of how fun and cute are them during last dec. actually for our club 15 team we had a very major change over and many of the player left either for the studies or not going to play basketball anymore . anyway wherever they go just wish them well in their life ba and for yck nic and shawn is ok and wish you to be a better player back to geylang serial :D.

Hello everyone i am back to post for our prestige club..

firstly what i want to said is that our 17 and under team are out of the youth cup. but is ok we won 2 lost 2.. we will work hard on it for the upcoming years. THAnks all the players for the performance and commitment. But all of you all are getting a pair of shoe so the sponsors willing to pay for all of your shoe make sure all of you do the team proud again.

secondly, 15 team are training hard in june period with 3 training per week i know all of you are tired but due to h1n1 we pause the training a while hope to see you all back for the training and i will talk to you all for some matters.

finally the boys manages to overcome the full court press and do some cutting in to score most importanlly my post player know how to pass the ball when they are trap. i feel very proud with them today as they did a good job today and NICHOLAS lucky he can score 1 free throw to win the match. but what i can said is you all did a good job boys.. rmb t-net match i hope u all will not dissapoint me again just like minyi.. rmb we are a team.. lose we lose together win we win together.:D

we lost 34 pts to minyi youth.. must admit that we had lost but during the 1st half there was a great fight untill the boy lack of physical and confuse of breaking of press. But i feel happy when i know that after that game the boys are like a team very very close together and during this 3 training for our prepartion against home united they had train very hard. but is it too late?? hope they can do it on thursday match against home united. may the team filled with fighting spirt.

17 and under team:

Finally prestige 17 player i had start to have confidence with you all just like last year as you all are more and more together play like a team better then the training which i keep scolding you coz you all had no team chemistry. I had seen a better defence but for offence we still need to get to know each other potential so that we can make use of. so next training we will focus on breaking press play , set piece and offence too our triangle offence had oni bring up to weak side but for strong side we need to know what kind of play can use in strong side. this sat we will been having friendly but this time i want you all to attack only the weakside to see whether we had learn it well?

15 and under team

Finally all exam had finish and we had resume our training on 3 day per week i felt that it will be an exciting training during this period to boost out the indivudal skill, defence, physcial lol especially the 21 floor and timah hill. i will bring in more age 14 player as there are still not enought 14 years old player for us next year as for 15 we did not need to pull anymore as it is enough and the stantards is there.

17 and under team: after winning quan fong@zhenghua 19 for only 6 points i felt that our weakness our squad is our defence as there are no Help given when opponents drive through us and just like that score. Communciation were also not there therefore on labour day i had decided to come out with BALL MAN YOU defence with 3-2 man-man/ zone defence. although is a labour i am happy to see players coming to the training although some are sick. After browsing through the defence, i can see that they had some idea for the defence and communication had improve as they knew that who role to shout for backdoor etc. This coming friday will be a training again (triangle offence) and sat will be a friendly against a 19 and under team from fido. This match will be a tough match hope my boys can overcome and won it.

15 and under team: Although we had given break for the boys as they had to take their mid year exam. But i am happy to see the boy are making themselves commit for our CBL match as the match i cannot postpone till the exam is over as it is too rush. For the 1st league we had lost to stinger 4pts but this time we manage to overcome them y 10plus points. As in the match yesterday i saw good defence and help given my the team. But our team work, offence and defence are ok only but still not up to the stantard yet so we will overcome it during june training. As for the june training we expected to take them to indonesia for basketball trip but due to the pig flu we had cancel and implented a 1 week 3 time training which 2 training on court and 1 training outside court. i hope this will make them improve and do well for the cup at the end of the months so boys jiaoyou!!!!

Due to the lack of communication and some defence problem i have decided to set up a bonding workshop for the 17 and under team at my house this saturday from 12-6pm. This work shop have included buliding up the team chemistry, let them have a better understanding of man to man defence , 3-2 defence and ball man u defence and there are also video clip to show them. There will be a presentation by each groups too so group work involve. After all the activites is over there will be a mini steam boat too. Objectives for this workshop is to work out their communication and let them to be closer with each others as they only get to see each other during training. So this friday we were have our training at blk 213 and after that on saturday they will have their bonding workshop. JIAYOUS

SAD TO see that we just managed to win by 6 points in this friendly game. Although they have player which are older then us but i feel we can win more but we just mainly win by 6 points. i felt vey dissapointed in this game as the problem of us for the squad is not offence but defence there are no help given when player pass through them as i think that they don't even know what is ball man u defence like?

Although there are still new players coming in but we must try to bond with everyone in the team and you all can make it far. So offence for this game our offence is ok as to FREE PLAY but our offence play is coming out soon and we need to make it for our defence so next training we were bring out ball man u and 3-2 zone and 3-2 man man defence to improve on it.. set piece also need to be set. so team this friday is our training and 9 may we are having a friendly with mainly 19 team and i hope you all wil do your best against them do not mind the age if we can win them we will make it far togehter .

17&under:

Taken From Alvin Blog (The training was slack and we played games, quite fun. Have a long talk with tingwei after training. Both of us hope that our team would remain as last year team cause last year we really had fun and joy)

Firstly, I also hope some of the team from last year to come back player like sweekiat, junwen but they did not want to play i also cannot do anything what i can said what kind of player i have we were used it and play. 17 team actually are not bad in terms of skill but the disadvantage is that players in the team do not communicate much as in you all still feel like strangers and the tourament is near dennth is missing again but i know he wil come back for training again. Bonding for the team are not there so i must make you all to bond. BOND BOND BOND.

17 Friendly game will include ( Quan fong, QIan xi and DOS) in MAy. Hope we can make it this year!!!!! 1st year of our youth cup is nearer..

15& under team :

I have a very big expectation for this team compared to the 17 as we have various posistion mean no lack of posistion so i hope this 15 team make us proud go for a top 6 in end of year youth cup. the major problem is that we lack of defence and physical so we were work on it. For now 15 team will have a big break till 30 may as their mid year is coming. So I hope all the 15 team player work hard on your mid year and scored well i do not want to lose any players. So make us proud.!!! YEA!!

Thursday night the u14 team have a friendly with admirtaly csc and win them by ard 8 pts i think. Defence and attack are ok but they do not have new idea of playing 1-4..

Kranji Primary School, Monday, 10 November, 2008 - The cream of Singapore’s 12-year old basketball boy talents gathered under the tutelage of Mr Ong Yam Huat, a teacher in Chua Chu Kang Primary School with a singular purpose in mind - to win the Pacific Schools Games U12 competition held in Canberra later this month!Asked why they were training so hard despite it being the school holidays, Mernard Lee from Woodlands Primary explained that this was a rare opportunity for him.
“I hope to get to make new friends, learn new things and gain a good experience from this trip… and make Singapore proud!”
Indeed, that last statement was a common theme for all the players, including Myron Lim from this year’s national runners-up team Holy Innocents Primary.
“We are going into the competition to win,” adding that he hopes that this will be a springboard for him to improve his skills and hopefully make the Singapore national team someday.
The Singapore U12 boys team will have their work cut out for them though, as they face formidable opponents in their trip down south from 27 Nov - 7 Dec. Teams from Western Australia and New South Wales make up a total of nine competing teams vying for the Pacific Schools U12 title!
Yet there is no underestimating their potential, especially with much improved players like Mohd Zulhaziq from Kranji Pri and Ridzuan from Telok Kurau Pri strengthening the team’s depth.
“I hope to develop on-court leadership skills like Sun Yue or Kobe Bryant (both in the Los Angeles Lakers NBA team) during the trip and go on to represent Singapore someday,” mused Haziq, who added that he has had experience playing in the power forward position since primary four.
However the trip would not have materialised if not for the hard work of a few teachers behind the scenes, according to Mr Ong.
“Teachers like Mr Tan Thong Howe from Kranji Pri and Unity Sec’s principal were instrumental in pushing for the trip as our basketball team had recently toured China last year. It will definitely be a good exposure for our boys,” said Mr Ong.
Whatever the outcome, the trip will definitely push the level of basketball among our youth to a highler level!

Basketball fans will get to see some of Singaporeâ€™s best youth players in actionin the adidas Nations League in 2009. Four teams will play a round-robin leaguein the first quarter of next year.Furthermore, adidas will send two of the best players to China (May â€˜09) and the United States (August â€˜09) to train and compete with the best Asian and American ballers at the adidas Nations basketball camps. A further seven players from any of the four teams will also get to represent Singapore at the adidas5, a regional tournament scheduled for October 2009 in China.The seven will also get to take in an American National Basketball Association (NBA) game while they are there. The seven players will be chosen based on attendance for training, attitude in training and performance on court.The four teams and their coaches are:

The u14 team have a friendly with admriatly csc and many of my u16 helpers have come and help out for scorer and refree that what i appreciate them for the help thanks. PRESTIGE - ADMRIATLY win ard 6pts . what i can said is that some are still not performing for what i expect but some are improving which is good and the defense for the match is ok but not up to my stantards yet as in offense we are still not that good yet and the fast break is slow also. hope we all will build up the mo qi after eoy.

second friendly with GEYLANG SERIAL CSC score tie up draw 57-57 and this game i saw good defense coming up in second half but the offense are nervous as in the last quater but luckily when we done by 2 pts the timeout help in a full court press defense and trap them and given a fast break which game in a draw. GOOD: without chaisim you all still can play mean that abit not dependant which is good coz i dun want without chaisim in the court you all dead which is a disadvangtage for us. BAD: center still not stable defense is very weak in the 1st half with their P n R we are weak and cannot defense it.

was late due to wrong information of the schedule of the match. but we manage to play the match and nearly get disqualified. From what i see is that they gt improve in the 3 day camp as their fong and physical. hope they maintain it much. But the guys still cannot bring out the power out yet as fully perform i need to find a ways to bring out their power in the couirt they are a good batch of player but they cannot force out the power yet.. some reseach need to be done for them hope u all wont stop it and pls train hard on your own U14 dun dissapoint those hu haf help u all out like mernard father and my frend. A few months ago, eslton was recommend by rivario to come in to the team and help us play for the u14 match. This player here was a very engertic and responsible player as he enduere all the training and the appearance to me is that he is a hardworking player and physical he wil complete at the 1st or 2nd as he is quite fit no matter how tough the training is. WHen the last day of cbl which is finish the midyear exam he told me that he cannot come as his parent forbid him as he result drop although i am a little bit dissapointed i let him go and ask him to come back when torament come and he promise that he will be back. after months, i recieve notice that he is going to clementi csc to ply as it is near his house?? is this the real reason?? i not sure and i think is no.. Few players of mine have told me that he have change as in when they find him he str8 reject him even some of my player will dissapointed as they wait for him to come back in the end?? he go to other team without saying anything.I am also very dissapointed but is ok arh although i cannot maintain him in my team but my players have make me see that without him they still can ply the game although is lower a little but some f1 speed player have come in also. so what i said is that thanks him for in the team for a few months and hope he will have a good future in the new team and ply for his own glory... Player will late this time and i let some of them to have breakfast at the coffee shop first as they havent take their breakfast. they will so tired after the 1st day and some will complaining their leg are pain. When i heard that i was happy as the training do help them. haha.. so the training start at 9am and we have do some running and ball drills and tatics as they will be having their second friendly with hci .

Friendly against HCI
in the 1st quater the boys are playing well and mange to lead by 8 pts but due to some loop hole and lack of team work they lose to hci by 15 pts. i feel that if they need to play well and win it the defense need to be improve some players which is tall need to be imporve in rebounding and inbound shooting . we need to be fast like leopard in fast break and our attack rmb no dead ball as what i keep telling u all if u all put the ball in dead ball suitation we will lose.

After seeing them injured and tired i have stop the training for them so to let them rest as they really the tired:)

Day 3

this time the training start at 9am. most of them are late again and i have waited for them. so in the morning they run 20 round courts 2,4 cuts 2 sets and other leg excerise again. after that i have ask them to do backdoor screen away drill so it can use when we playing the tourament but how are they going to use it is up to their brain thinking. after that we started our 5-5 halfcourt tatics again which mernard father have suggest and i think is quite good to them as now is only some ppl can score pts so this tatics is depend on 3 ppl to score and the other 2 will score when they see special think they can run which i told u all b4 this tatics which is call 3 jian ke!!!!
after doing over and over again they did quite nice already but still not tat stantatrd but i hope they can rmb it.

lunch

this time after lunch all the player hve finally sleep including then playful MERNARD AND AH HAO

friendy: during night we got to adrmitaly courts to have a friendly with them but rain so the match is cancel therefore the sponosors have treat us to a dinner with adrimatly csc players and the dinner i can see the boys are really hungry. after that we have take a team photo and this mean that the 3 day camp have finally ends.

i want to thanks all the players for attending the 3 day camp no matter u are tired or wad u al still come down. thanks and mernard father thanks for helping me and giving me idea i appreacitae it alots. thks zichen for coming down this 2 day and sincerley use the heart to teach the boys. lastly hope my prestige team will be a sucess in the future and player will be unite as 1 team no matter u18,16,14 or what hope all of u all will stay and make the club a success as i intend to make prestige a well name basketball club and maybe the name will be "PRESTIGE BASKETBALL ASSOCIATE"

U14 3 DAY CAMP

1st day ( Monday)
We started our 1st day of camp at 8am but some of the boys are late for around 5-10 min but is ok. After all the warm up have done, we started our 1 hour of physical training. Firstly, they started with a 2.4km run. The timing was quite bad to some players and only some of the player can make it successful. After that we had do some leg exercise and hand excerise which the boys are keep complaing saying “WAHH WAHH WAHH” but they had also completed the programme. After the 1hr of physical they will taught some ball drills such as ba zai xin etc and after lots of scolding they do it successfully. Rain have started and they will bought to void decks to do passing 500 times , jumping stairs and running stairs. After that they have their lunch.
1130-2pm
The boys will so hungry and eat extra big meal. After having the lunch they will brought to 1 corner to rest some will too tired and sleep some will playing and some naughty and playful boy are disturbing the team mates.

2pm-530pm
After resting they will brought back to court and individual training will taught in their posisiton. Esp yongjun after lots of scolding and toture he finally done his inbound shooting and spinning as in improve a bit but need more improvement. After that the most make me angry part is the tatics training. The boys will know what happened arh. But at last you all manage to do a good job.
6-730 dinner
After dinner the boys have a friendly with girls open what should I said good play but defense sucks mo qi still not up there. But we manage to win 30+ PTS I THINK . END OF 1st day.

1mths have reach for the u 14 so we have try out a real physical test for them and a friendly for them.
this is a first real friendly for the u14 and they will trashed by the u16 players and what i can see is that there are no communication among them, no idea of posistion playing for them and they only attack on the right side. defence not enough communciation yet as there are loop holes in it and players when put inside are blur and nervous !!!!

nxt the test result for the players( some imporve some downgrade):

notice: some have imporve greatly but some i expect them to do well did not do well. hope u all can do it again for the new months.

I think is the time to start team play and idea of tatics if not they will not go far.. haiz.. hope they do well for the august mid to sept mid. 3 day come is around the corners hope this will help them lots.

yesterday u14 are having the training session for 2hr30min.. The only one person who are absent is bryan as he is sick so is ok. the 3 fajar are still late for their training and if they are late 1 more time i will do something else with them as i do not expcept late to training.
Firstly, i had give them 5 phy execrise which i going to take the 5 item as their physical test in every months so i can see how is the phy build for them and this will help them to build up the phy as u14 is the phy is their main points. During some ball drills i can see that they are improving on their passing by keep doing it and i hope that the next training they will be able to do it just like the way they succeed yesterday and we can get to the next programme if not we need to do it all over again as the passing is very important in the match ( fast , accurate )
1 more new comers have joined us named alex ( mernard pull) hope he will keep coming and train with us. So LET WElcomE ALEX TO the team..
going to add 1 day training for them and hope i can get the sept camp done.!!

Yesterday prestige u 14boys was having the training and i think all of them enjoy the training and many new faces have pop up for the training. Finally, i can see so many boys are back with training again but lack of some players still as some are still going to study at home to pak up their result before coming back to the team.

TOday i was suprise as a coach and really happy for them as the u14 boys have make effort to meet up together and play basketball with some new comers too. For eg MERNARD? 1 only? lol. Parents for mernard and bryant have also come down and play basketball with them i feel this team is quite united and something which i see is good to me and i feel great as many people have involed with the passion of basketball.

New things will be going to be up for the team and i am planning to have a 3 day 2 night camp for the u14 hope it will be successful done.

i want to write the 1st moments of thing that i get to know..
finally i get the ball and bag which i have order.. 1st step have being to me and presige assoicate..
but when i tok to the john he had said that stay there is better as there aare court there but i will still be using the court till i have found a new one. secondly, i also know that i will still not be able to hand up the team well as the time need to be spend widely therefore prestige is also need help from people but who will it be?? i have someone in mind now but need to see again.
Lastly , players!!! heard from john that is quite hard to get but i will try using my method and see whether can it be done. i hope those player i have in mind wil be there to come to my team thats all.. i do not need those good player but those few who are in my mind hope will be in prestige associate team thats all!!!

hello to all or no one esle haa.for now.. This would be prestige associate basketball blog.
As this is a new to team with sponsors mainly come from prestige associate company. Hope to get along well and do good in basketball youth cup in this team.

Preparation : starting with u14 dis year at 2008 nov tourament youth.
Getting ball ready ( 6 converse ball and 2 converse ball bag) $ 340 ARD DERE
Finding sutiable court for training ( currently is at fajar rd blk 478 )

thats all. hope in a few weeks time we can start writing and posting or putting pic.. is exciting
